About Us

Learn, Practice and Improve

Our motto is simple: Learn, Practice and Improve.

At Learn 11+ Online we offer a dedicated daily test programme for children in primary school years 4 and 5, with the aim of improving their knowledge and skill in the subject areas of English, Maths and Applied Verbal Reasoning.

We have developed our online programme at 3 difficulty ratings (easy, medium & hard). The easy level is for year 4 children, as it has the highest ratio of L1 (easiest) questions compared with the medium and hard difficulty ratings. The medium level is programmed for year 5 children NOT considering taking the 11+ Exam but want to improve their skills in Maths and English. The hard level is programmed for year 5 children, who want to practice at the level and standard required for 11+ Exam.

Learn 11+ Online has examined and analysed numerous question types and developed over 10,000 questions, available in our programme. Our robust examination of 11+ Exams and question types has allowed us to  arrive at our “Hard Rating’ difficulty (appropriate mix of Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 questions). We believe, in our opinion, that our ‘Hard Rating’ difficulty is comparable to the the 11+ Exams.

One of our main analysis has focused around the CSSE Exams for the area of Essex, covering the period 1997 – Present. We are confident that we have developed a wide range of different types of questions to help develop the skill and knowledge of the children and equip them to deal with any 11+ Exam format. Our 6 Mock Exams will provide considerable real-life exam practice. From time to time we notice that the 11+ Exams change their content and structure. However, our practice tests and variable Mock Exams will help build the child’s confidence to tackle any form of Mock Exam.

The Programme

Our online programme consists of daily practice tests, 15-20 minutes (all tests 20 mins except English comprehension and AVR at 30 mins) in duration. The sequence for the practice tests will follow a certain path; each child will complete 5 English/AVR and 5 maths practice tests fortnightly, with the assistance of a revision guide for all subject areas.

The 6 Mock Exams will be taken monthly from March to August. The duration for the Mock Exams will be 1 hour for Maths and 1 hr and 10 mins for English/Applied Verbal Reasoning (AVR).

A weekly report for each child will be made available and accessible to parents/guardians.

Our Goals

We want to enhance every child’s ability level in Mathematics and English/AVR in the first instance. Secondly, we want to assist those children who aspire to take an 11+ Exam, and have an ambition to secure a Grammar School place. We have developed the hard rating, which, in our opinion, is similar to the 11+ exams undertaken for Grammar schools in England.
